Yes, you can pair and use the Magic Mouse with the MBair. […] There is also an option to disable the built in trackpad when using either of the two.
OK, so everyone agrees that the Magic Mouse can be paired with the MacBook Air. Anyone care to share how this is done?
I have new batteries in my Magic Mouse but I know this is not the problem as my MacBook Pro can see the Magic Mouse just fine.
The Magic Mouse is turned on. As I said, my MacBook Pro can see the Magic Mouse just fine.
I click on System Preferences, then click on mouse and the MacBook Air searches and searches but never finds.
Hi rolopezzz,
If you go into System Preferences > Bluetooth this will bring up your setup assistant options. Click the little + button to have your computer start looking for devices that are discoverable. This is usually when I'll toggle the power on for the Magic Mouse and click it once or twice. It's important to make sure that the "Discoverable" box is checked on the Bluetooth preference pane, I should add. It might not find it right away, my initial pairing actually took 3-4 minutes to finally occurred and it involved toggling Bluetooth on and off and cycling the power on the Magic Mouse.
But once it was paired it's never been an issue.
