What version of iTunes do I Install? 32 or 64?

Hi all. I just got a Windows 7 64-bit laptop last night. I have to transfer my media over. But I need to know if I need to install iTunes 64 or 32 on this new laptop? What is recommended and some nice advice would be nice.

Toshiba Notebook 3 GIGs DDR3, Windows 7, iTunes: V10.0 Apple iPod (iPod Classic 160 GB) FreeAgent Ext HDD.

How do I fix the media & music folders both of which have music in them.

Why 64 bit? Just because my OS is 64 bit? Does it make a difference? Does it matter? What are the pros & cons? What are the benefits of installing 64 bit iTunes? Will I encounter any issues in doing so?

there is no difference between 32 and 64 for itunes. its only for your OS.

Yes, and very much so.

The 64-bit installer includes the 64-bit GEAR drivers for importing and burning CDs, the 64-bit AMDS and iPod Service module that you'll both need for syncing your classic, the 64-bit BonJour for home sharing and other network stuff, and the 64-bit iTunes miniplayer. So if you want any of that, you need to have the 64-bit version installed.

What about my its files saved in the iTunes folder? They were saved by a 32 bit iTunes & OS. How do I go about moving my files over to my new laptop? DO I install iTs 64 first then move the saved folder over to new computer?

iTunes is a 32bit app. It is the exact same app for the 32bit or 64 bit installer. The iTunes 64bit installer installs;
"64-bit GEAR drivers for importing and burning CDs, the 64-bit AMDS and iPod Service module that you'll both need for syncing your classic, the 64-bit BonJour for home sharing and other network stuff, and the 64-bit iTunes miniplayer."
If you want to sync an iPod, import or burn CDs, or do any network stuff with iTunes, you will need to install the 64bit version.

Install iTunes then copy the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder from the old computer to /Music/ on the new computer.

What about these gear drivers? You mean iTunes won't see my DVD-RW drive? What is AMDS? I don't think I use Bonjour. Am I going to have a problem with iTunes 64 and my iPod?
