when i woke up this morning i saw that my ipad was stuck on the itunes logo screen.
immediately i plugged it in to the computer (macbook, 10.6, latest itunes version) and i got this message from itunes as it tried to be synced:
1. itunes could not back up the ipad because a session could not be started with the ipad.
-after clicking ok another message comes up -
2. itunes could not sync information from the ipad because a connection could not be established to the ipad.

right now, the ipad is still stuck on the itunes screen but sometimes facebook notifications comes up.

also, i tried restoring, backuping, erasing the backup (pref.-devices-ipadbackup) and nothing worked.

Thank You!

ipad, iOS 4

Your signature indicates that you have IOS-4 on your iPad. That is UNRELEASED software. If are an Apple developer, you should post your problem on the developer's forum. If you are not an Apple developer, aren't you happy now that you beat the system?

my first generation ipad is now unusable due to the same error messages appearing on my computer. my ipad shows the usb cable and itunes symbol on the screen and it cannot be removed, nor can the ipad be used at all. i do get calendar reminders on the screen though, but i can't access them. If i go into 'my computer', i can access the images saved on the ipad only.

I have the new version of itunes, yet i still can't sync or recognise my ipad.

i tried restoring, backuping, erasing the backup, however an error message comes up saying these options aren't available. i've tried reinstalling itunes and restarting both my computer and my ipad, but you guessed it, also no luck.

    anyone with any ideas?
