Delete all email on ipad or iphone

It's seems like an obvious feature that was left out would be able to Select All of your email or more than one at a time to delete. I find myself going through a hundred emails one at a time to delete. Is there a way to do this?

G5, Mac OS X (10.4.11)

Welcome to the Apple Discussions.

If you hold the iPad in the landscape position so the mail sidebar stays on, select Edit in the top right of the sidebar, then tap the circle to the left of each email to delete. Then after checking all to delete, select Delete at the bottom of the sidebar.

Then go tap mailboxes on the upper left of the sidbar, Trash, Edit and Delete all at the bottom. You will have to confirm deletion of all.

Yes, You would have to select all emails one by one and then tap delete.
There is no fast way of "Select All" and "Delete Marked" option
