Can't download a certain Basic Piano lesson

When I try to download the lesson called "Rhythm" under the Basic Piano lessons, I get an error. It says "GarageBand was not able to complete the download"

Any ideas?

Check for the file in the folder at: HD/Library/Application Support/GarageBand/Learn to Play/Basic lessons and see if that Rhythm file is there.

What size is it? It is supposed to be 214.4 mb. I noticed you show a 120 gb hard drive? Do you have the space to complete the d/l?

If so, try removing the incomplete file and starting the d/l process again to see if it completes this time.

Had the same problem and had to call support. Easiest way to fix is to create a new user account on your mac login to it and download that particular lesson. The lessons are for all users so when you go back to your original user account after the download is complete and open Garageband and it should be there.

You can then delete the new user account.

Hope this helps.

I have the same problem with piano lesson 6. Is there another way to get the download? I don't want to open another user account and delete it again. I think there's a problem with a temporary file, because I started the download, stopped it and so on. Does anybody know where the temporary files might be located?

I had the same problem with the new GarageBand. If you can delete the download file through the normal menu then that works.

Basically I just clicked on the lesson that was supposed so be downloading and pressed the delete button really quickly and that worked. It might take a few attempts but eventually it will work.
