I just got a new 15" MBP with the hi res matte screen. I launched the color calibration in expert mode. When I tried to save the new profile, I got an error message that said the color profile couldn't be saved. Why is this and how can I calibrate the display. I use it for correcting images and need an accurate color profile. Thanks

I read that article and wondered if this is an issue with me. When I go to the System Profiler and look for the vendor ID for my display, I can't seem to find it. I also looked in the System folder and found the missing profile the author describes. I have a Hi Res Matte Widescreen display how do I find the Vendor ID? This is very frustrating.
Went to the Apple store for another issue and mentioned this to the Genius, Jon. As your car behaves at the mechanic, I was able to create new profiles in the store. I actually use SuperCal to calibrate the display, but everything is running fine now. Thanks everyone.
