I am trying to use Airport Express with Time Warner but whenever I try to configure the Express it comes up with an error message that says the IP address is not recognized. I have manually entered the IP address that I got from Time Warner but this did not work. The wifi shows up in my status bar but I can't connect to the internet through the Express.

Hello mcdushi. Welcome to the Apple Discussions!

Is your AirPort Express Base Station (AX) the only router in your network configuration? That is, do you have it connected directly to your Time-Warner cable modem? Is this modem only a modem or a combination modem & router? If you are not sure, would you please provide its make & model#?

    Hi Tesserax!

It is an Arris and model number is TM602A/110. I have the AX connected to it directly.

    Ok, thanks for the update.

It is always a good idea to perform a complete power recycle when changing network components.

    Please try the following:
o Power-down the modem, AirPort Express Base Station (AX), and computer(s); wait at least 10-15 minutes.
o Power-up the modem; wait at least 10-15 minutes.
o Plug-in the AX to power; wait at least 5-10 minutes.
    o Power-up the computer(s).

Computers connected wirelessly to the AX should now get Internet access. Please post back your results.

Hi Tesserax - I tried this but it didn't fix anything.

Please try again, but this time while everything is powered-off, perform a "factory default" reset on the AX. Then go through the power recycle as described before.
