How To Stop Itunes From Continuous Play?

I'd like to only play one album at a time in Itunes on my computer but continuous play seems to be automatic and there are no options to control this in the Itunes preferences...?
I notice it happens a lot but it happens 100% of the time if I enter a name/style in the search bar of Itunes. For example if I enter "rock" in the Itunes search bar Itunes will play every single rock album even if I only pick a single album or even track to play.

pro, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

I make separate albums for my music. Some are by topic and some by artist. When I want to play someone or something in particular without itunes moving on to the next one I play the album/folder I created.

iTunes menu View > Column browser.
Select the album/artist (or multiple) you want and only those songs will show below.
Press Play and only those songs will play.

iTunes already does this.
I highly recommend NOT making a playlist for revery album/artist.
Just use the column browser.

I don't. I make them only for certain favorites I play a lot. 🙂 I also use the search and let it bring up the person or songs I want and play from the playlist that way too. That is one thing I love about itunes. There are sooo many options for playing 🙂

I have this same issue, except that it is on both my PC and MAC. I would like iTunes to just play the selected song and stop. I have no checks in the checkboxes for crossfade. Is this right? Can iTunes be set to only play the selected song and then stop once that track is finished playing?
