I just bought the new mac book pro. Probably 3-4 months old and for some reason my macbook pro will not charge when i have my WoW window open. I can minimize my WoW window (WoW still running) and it will begin to charge. So whenever i am playing wow my apple charge will stop charging reading "Not charging" at the top right but as soon as i minimize and go on the internet for example it will begin charging. This is not making any sense to me at all and is very annoying as my battery life slowly goes down while playing can someone please help me!

When your MBP is working hard enough to draw more power than its AC adapter can provide, supplementary power is drawn from the battery. You are apparently in that situation. If you have things drawing power from the machine that you aren't using while you play WoW, quit them, turn them off or disconnect them.
I used my dads charger from his macbook pro that is a few years old and it still allows me play and charge at the same time so maybe it was something wrong with my charger?
Maybe your dads older charger is of higher wattage than your current one? I know that they have made the newer adapters at a lower wattage since then, maybe thats why it will charge when youre taxing the computer, and your newer one wont. Or, there could be something wrong with YOUR adapter.
yaaa thats what i am thinking to whatever ill just continue to use his charger because mine seems to work for what he needs to do. thanks for the input
