Error 7 (Windows error 999)

Hi all,

I get this error message when trying to launch Itunes: Error 7 (Windows error 999). I uninstalled all Apple products and tried to re-install Itunes but it did not work. Can anyone help? (I am using Windows Vista 32 bit)

Have you also checked on your .NET framework, sevengirl? See:

I did reinstall NET.framework before reinstalling itunes, but it did not work...

Okay.

Backtracking to when you uninstalled iTunes and other programs ... did you use the following document as a guide?

[Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7|http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923]

If so, did you run into any trouble when doing any of the uninstalls or file deletions? If so, could you describe the trouble for us, please?
