Network External Drive not available - Warning tag

I have a BookWorld ethernet connected drive where I store my picture on iPhoto and Aperture. iMovie does not recognize the drive. How do I connect it?

iMac 24, Mac OS X (10.6.4), WD Bookworld 1.5t

Hi

I think ethernet are way to slow for video use.

• e-Sata are best but few Macs have an external e-Sata connector

• FireWire 400 or even FW800 are very good

• USB/USB2 performs badly

• Network/Ethernet - don't work

PLUS !

hard disk - HAS TO BE *Mac OS Extended* (HFS+) formatted ! - Nothing else will do!

Do a search of the iMovie 09 discussion for the keywords "symbolic link" or "symlink" and you will find how some are doing it.
I cannot be much further help, because I do not do this myself.
