I tried the TinyUmbrella app to get my iPhone out of "Recovery Mode" without success. What now?

Is that a jailbreaking thing?

Did you try to jailbreak your iPhone and mess it up?

I told him to try using tiny umbrella and its not a jail breaking application its a application thats supposed to get you out of recovery mode and it also allows you to back up your firmware nothing to do with jailbreaking apparently it didnt work for him..

The results of a google search for tinyumbrella all have to do with jailbreaking and attempting to recover when something goes wrong.
It seems to be a jailbreaking tool-but you claim you did not.

Here is an apple support article:

look dood its not for jailbreaking your phone why dont you download it and look for yourself it can be used to back up your firmware and also get you out of dfu mode if you dont want to accept that then dont respond simple as that jailbreaking apps are commonly called things like bl4ckra1n and gr33npo1son those are for jailbreaking tiny umbrella is not I do not jailbreak my phone and have used tiny umbrella before..

Dude,
I do not need to back up my firmware, if something goes wrong I can restore in itunes then restore from backup kept in iTunes.
No need for some third party hack.

You learned an important lesson bro'-connect to your computer and backup.

you dont even know the full story he was out of town and his phone went into dfu mode its as simple as that he needed a app to knock it out of dfu mode until you know your facts just be quiet jeez already and backing up your firmware can be nice to have when apple screws something up in there new firmware its nice to be able to go back to the previous version that worked!
