Can't rename some ID3 tags

Question

Can't rename some ID3 tags

Would you know why certain tracks on iTunes cannot be renamed? I am going through and renaming all the files through iTunes by right-clicking and going to "Get Info" and then editing the tag through that. Some songs, though, have all gray fields and won't allow me to edit them.

Your iTunes files or folders may be read-only.

- Shut down iTunes
- Double check to see that the music files or the folders they reside in are not read-only.
- Using Windows Explorer, right-click on the file (or folder) name, go to Properties.
- If one or both are Read-Only, change them, and reopen iTunes.

Post back if this did not work.
