Multiple text lines (wrap text) within chart title or axis category?

Option-Return will give you a new line in your Header cell that will be present in your Chart Axis Labels as well.

The axis categories should be identical to what is in your header column. If the text in a header cell is two lines, created with Option-Return (not wrap), it should be reflected that way in the axis categories.

However, if you have tried editing the axis categories, they may have converted to the actual values from your header column and are no longer referencing those cells. You can tell by looking at the Chart Inspector or by looking at the table (if the header cells are not highlighted, they are not being used). If this is the case, the axis categories will no longer reflect changes made in the table. You can edit the category labels at the chart but you can't add option-returns there, you have to go to the Inspector to do that. Guess that was an oversight by Apple.

With all that said, you may not be happy with the result. If one category is two lines and others are not, the ones that are only one line have their text on line 2. If you didn't understand that, try it and you'll see what I mean.
