GArage band - Click tracks- Ipod

for live performance
Can I use garage band
make a click track for drummer (is that just like something simple)
record a few other background tracks (stings or more rhythm)
and use an ipod when playing live for?

or am I asking too much

you could pan the click track to the left, and the other tracks to the right, then send the left channel of the iPod to the drummers cans/back-line-monitors and the right channel to the FoH PA.

Yep, what Hang Time said - that's what my band does. Click track goes to the right channel into the drummer's in-ear monitors, the left channel goes to the bass player's amp to play pre-recorded bass tracks.
