iTunes won't display songs (broken?)

I recently had to reformat my hard drive, and after I restored my system from a time machine backup, iTunes won't work correctly.

The issues I'm having are that none of my songs will display, and that the app itself doesn't work properly (I clicked the store tab, and when I go back to music, the images disappear, but the window's content doesn't change: http://cl.ly/35iQ). I've completely uninstalled (files removed: http://cl.ly/35ji) and reinstalled iTunes, created entirely new libraries, all with no luck.

It does however play songs if I double click the music file, which opens it in iTunes (but doesn't display anything)

I'm out of ideas, and can't find any posts with a similar problem

So... any suggestions??

-Thanks

I have been stuck with it for about a week now. Ever since I upgraded to itunes 10. Some people said that upgrading to 10.6.4 fixed the issue but no luck on my end: http://theomnitect.com/itunes_error.png

Ive tried downgrading, reinstalling, wiping the system clean of all itunes traces.
No luck.

Here is another post with the same issue: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2565129&start=0&tstart=0
