How can I fix font errors and warning signs in font book??

So my computer's running fine, maybe a little slower than usual but I don't know if this is due to the font problem. Much less, I don't even know if this is a problem. But anyways I have a link to a screenshot of my Font Book validation of fonts, and it comes out with 184 fonts as being fine, 41 minor problem fonts, and 1 serious error font. Even if this isn't a problem, I want to fix this. Not hide it, not disable anything unless necessary, but I want this crap off my computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated! My computer is up to date, I have Microsoft Office 2004 if that's relevant at all to the fonts, and I MAY have downloaded some online fonts, I'm not sure. Anyways, my main question is, "Where do I start??"

First resolve duplicates. Then proceed to your font validation.

In your *results box*, click on the problem fonts(yellow) at the bottom of the pane- this will present them and hightlite in the upper box, check all, remove checked.

Same with fatal error (red.)

Click the *question mark (?)* for _more information_, lower left corner of your Font Validation pane.

and this doesn't mess with the system at all??? i've read things where resolving duplicates got rid of some essential fonts on accident, do i need to worry about this or was this fixed? also, it's ok to just delete them?? i'm realllllly dreading messing up my system haha so sorry if i'm being a little anal :/

Then don't obsess about fixing those warnings. There is really no need to do so unless you really think a font is causing a problem for your operations. In fact the most common actual problems caused by fonts (garbled text) do not give any warnings in Fontbook.

haha ok i'll take your word for it! yeah everything runs fine, so maybe it'd be better to just leave it alone. thanks for the reassurance guys!
