Flat Zip Creation

I can't believe I'm asking this but I need to know how to create a flat zip file. I control-click the files and choose compress and it still puts them in a folder. Basically, I want to know how to select many photos and compress all of them into a zip file but then when one clicks on the zip file to open it it DOES NOT open another folder with the pictures in them, but rather just opens the pictures. PowerSchool only takes flat zips. I have tried a few 3rd party applications, but no help yet.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

No, it doesn't. You are being faked out by the Unarchiver tool. It is creating that folder.

I want to click on the zip file and just have the photos pop out. No folders, I want it to be a flat zip file. MacZipIt isn't working for me on 10.6.4. Any other thoughts?

I wrote this little tool the other day: http://etresoft.org/zipmounter.html

There are some other tools such as: http://wakaba.c3.cx/s/apps/unarchiver.html
