How to move a photo from "Contacts" to "Camera Roll" or "Photo Library"?

I know of no way to do this.

You can use pics from camera roll or photo library as contact pics, but I am not aware of any way to move them from contacts to any other destination.

As the last post mentioned there's no way to move photos from contact pictures to camera roll. By the sound of it you took the picture added it to the contact and then it was removed/deleted from the phone at some point.

Apple doesn't provide support via email. If you are in the U.S., you can call AppleCare but I can tell you there is no Apple solution or workaround.

In the future, always capture a photo with the Camera outside of the Contacts app. When capturing a photo for a contact from within the Contacts app, the photo is saved with the contact only - not in the Camera Roll. If captured outside of the Contacts app which will be saved in the Camera Roll, you can import all photos in the Camera Roll by your computer as with any other digital camera and select the photo in the Camera Roll to be assigned to a contact. Removing the photo from the Camera Roll after the import process is complete does not delete the photo from the contact the photo is assigned to which is stored separately from the Camera Roll.

Contacts and a photo assigned to a contact are included with your iPhone's backup. There may be a 3rd party utility that provides for extracting a photo assigned to a contact from the iPhone's backup stored on your computer.
