No sound through headphones

new user. yesterday i loaded a new project to basically record my voice over a backing track. loaded the btrax and created a new track for my voice. equipment wise i have a mic & phones plugged into an interface which is connected to mac via usb. all knobs and switches set appropriately and sound came through phones. however, today i am trying the same thing and cannot get any sound through phones or through mac either. not sure why this is happening - hopefully its something straight forward and simple - can anyone help please?

If doin it's answer doesn't set things straight, next thing to check is that Logic is using the device you want. You can set Logic to use any connected audio device including onboard audio.

First go to LOGIC PRO > PREFERENCES > AUDIO
Here you can choose your input device and your output device
Make sure output is set to whatever you have your headphones plugged into.
Also make sure audio is Enabled.
Something like this:

Post back if no luck and we'll try the next step
