moving iphotos gets "error 50"

I am trying to copy iPhotos to a USB memory stick (and tried a DVD burn, and USB direct into the Mac) but keep getting error 50. If i send the photo to myself on email and download the photo to a folder on finder it works OK. Can anyone help? Very frustrating not to drag and drop iPhotos to memory sticks! THANKS!!

What format is the USB stick? Most are a FAT formatted and there is a limit on the number of items at the top level of the disk. Try export the pics to a folder on the desktop and then drag that folder to USB stick.
