itunes refuses to open?

I am using OS 10.4.11 and can not use itunes any longer. I deleted itunes, downloaded and tried to reinstall with no success.
I have lost my install CDs for OS 10.4.
How can I solve this problem without purchasing new system CDs?

eMac 1.25 ghz, Mac OS X (10.4.11)

why ? what happened ?

I deleted itunes


to *remove iTunes completely*, click here and follow the instructions.

note this will not touch your media files, playlists, ratings, etc.

downloaded and tried to reinstall with no success.


the highest version of iTunes you can install on your machine is 9.2.1. get it here: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1056.

you should get the +system CDs+ in any case. you may need them to troubleshoot more serious problems.
