IPhone 4 slow at receiving text message

Having a problem with my text nessaging, I can send messages, but my phone is being extremely slow at receiving texts almost 30-60 minutes after the person said they sent it. Any advice?

Contact your carrier.

Although text messages are received nearly instantly for the most part, messages can be delayed due to a number of factors. The same applies to email.
