Problem with Internet connection on local Wi-Fi network

I have local Wi-Fi network with 2 Macs, 2 PC's, iPhone, iPod and iPad at home on Linksys router. Each one of these devices have static IP address assigned. On iPad, when I launch app that requires Internet connection, it takes about half a minute, maybe more, to start syncing, opening webpage etc. Whet it finally connects everything goes fine. Another apps connect immediately. But after some time (i.e. 5 mins) of inactivity problems comes back and I have to wait another 30 seconds for loading page, sync etc. Any help, please?

There have been several posts in the past month or two about issues with Linksys routers for some reason. Have you updated the router firmware to the latest version? And have you gone to Settings > Safari and turned Autofill Off? That may help.

If all of that has been done, and the iPad is actually connecting, the solution may be to wait for the iOS 4.2 release, due out this month, and see if that helps.

Now, after iOS update it's even worse. Everytime I try to cennect to Internet I can wait forever. I have to turn WiFi off and on again. It helps for a while but in next attempt I have too switch off and on... It really drives me crazy. In the same environment my iPhone 4 connects to Internet everytime I need.
iPad restored, new network settings - nothing works.
Any suggestions, please?

Here's the solution 🙂 I'm using Linksys router thus I have a soulution given from someone in Cisco users forum. Change the standard channel in wireless settings from 11 (2.462 GHz) to 7 (2.442 GHz). Now my iPad is connected to Internet everytime I need. Yes!!! After weeks of banging ny head against my desk. What a relief 🙂
