the disk you inserted was not readable by this computer

When I connect my camera to a USB port I get the following message, "the disk you inserted was not readable by this computer". This started after I upgraded to Snow Leopard and to iPoto '09. I currently have OS X (10.6.4) and iPhoto 09 (8.1.2).

Intel Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.4), iPhoto 09 (8.12)

What kind of camera?

Has this camera and SD card successfully connect to iPhoto before?

Are there photos on the SD card?

How about a SD card reader and USB connection reading outside of the camera?

The camera is a Panasonic DMC-FX33. Yes, the camera and the SD card successfully connected to iPhoto before. Before I upgraded to Snow Leopard and to iPhoto '09. Yes, there are photos on the SD card. Yes, I have already tried a SD card read, and got the same message.

Might want to contact Panasonic on this one to check for compatibility with 10.6.
