How do I get rid of a junk kext?

I keep getting this error -

system/library/extensions/hpPlugInInit.kext was installed improperly and cannot be used....

I've found the kext file in the system but it comes back if I delete it.
How do I trash it for good? I don't own any HP products and have no plans of ever buying one.

Remove all traces of Hewlett-Packard and hp stuff from /Library/Application Support/, /Library/LaunchAgents/, /Library/Printers/, /Library/Printers/PPDs/, /username/Library/Application Support/, /username/Library/Printers/, /Applications/Hewlett-Packard, System Preferences->Accounts->Login Items, restart, delete all hp* kext files in /System/Library/Extensions/, and restart again. That should do the trick.
