Nov 9, 2010 9:13 PM in response to inceptdateby BenB,In the Server Menu, Search All Jobs, double click the job, what info is there?
What is the Job's status?
Did you go into System Preferences to Stop, then restart FCSvr? -
Nov 9, 2010 9:56 PM in response to BenBby dogsteve,Ben, job status is idle, job type is Copy, From Device is Upload, To Device is Library, progress is zero. I stopped and started FCS, now status for all jobs is Fail. Started a new upload, now that job is in Idle status, just like the others. -

What's your hardware/network setup? -
Nov 10, 2010 8:35 PM in response to BenBby dogsteve,It's all self-contained. A single MacBook Pro laptop running Leopard. No network involved. Nothing fancy. -
Nov 11, 2010 5:30 PM in response to dogsteveby inceptdate,hmmmmm... tried everything and checked everything. Still idle. Seems that this happened after I upgraded to 1.5.2 and updated OS X. Think it's more 1.5.2.
Has anyone solved this? -
Nov 27, 2010 9:33 AM in response to inceptdateby RicM,I just went through this loop myself so I thought I'd chime in, even if it is solved. Although the upload/download window says "idle", when I checked Server>Search all Jobs the server machine is "transcoding clip" which can take some time if the clip is a long one. The next clip dragged to the server doesn't seem to upload until the first one is done transcoding. It sure looks like the process is stalled, but it's not. On the past I have uploaded whole folders and productions and walked away, so I never noticed the long periods of apparent "inactivity". -
Dec 2, 2010 10:58 AM in response to RicMby inceptdate,Tried all of that... still nothing. So much for my workflow now. I am completely stumped on this one. Would hate to have to go through another re-install.
Anyone solve this at all? -
Dec 2, 2010 11:31 AM in response to inceptdateby dredcomm,It may be an issue with the client software installation. Try removing your desktop application and reinstalling it from <name-of-server>/finalcutserver
