Uninstall Java

How can I uninstall java?

I run disk utility and I see all these java errors. Don't get me wrong, disk utility fixes the permissions and all, but right after it does that the permissions undo themselves and when I run disk utility again, the same permissions that were just fixed show up.

So how do I uninstall java?

Mac OS X (10.6.4)

Everybody gets these java permissions in DiskUtility. I do not feel this is a concern as long as you are running the most up to date version

Apple Computer supplies their own version of Java. Use the Software Update feature (available on the Apple menu) to check that you have the most up-to-date version of Java for your Mac.

As far as I know on Macs, there is no way to possibly uninstall Java, it's deeply integrated with the Mac OSX operating system.

You don't want to uninstall Java. Required for too many OS operations. Leave it in place and ignore the permissions anomalies. See http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1448 for details on cosmetic issues.
