Nov 9, 2010 9:10 PM in response to jameshelikerby BenB,You can stop them from uploading, but you can't make the Upload in the menu disappear. This would be the typical "browse only" setup described in the Apple Pro Training Series: Final Cut Server 1.5 book, if I'm not mistaken. -
Nov 10, 2010 9:27 AM in response to BenBby jamesheliker,Hi Ben,
Is there somewhere other than the Apple Pro Training Series book that describes this "browse only" setup? I don't have the book and am really in a bind to get this working properly.
Thanks for your help!

Nov 10, 2010 4:51 PM in response to BenBby jamesheliker,John explained through an email to use the "browser" group - which essentially sets a trait permission (upload = forbid) for a specific user/set of users. However, this does not seem to change anything, as far as being able to upload a file.
I can't use the actual browser group as I have many other requirements also, but setting this trait permission on my existing groups does absolutely nothing as far as I can tell. Has anyone else dealt with this issue directly?
Thanks!
