burning CDs

iTunes stopped burning CDs in the middle of a burn. It was working before, and it said it was canceling the burn in the middle of a multi disc burn. After that, it won't burn any CDs, not all of which were bought from iTunes, so it's not a "you have reached your limit" deal.

I'm using vista on a PC.

Any help would be appreciated.

🙂 Many thanks.

I checked on the Dell drivers and downloads pages for your Studio 1735, and it looked like you might be behind on the firmware version for your TS-T633A. So I think we'd better get driver and firmware updates off the table.

Head to the following page at Dell and enter your service tag. (Don't tell me what your Service tag is.) That should take you to your drivers and downloads page. As well as checking for newer firmware for your TS-T633A, I'd also try making sure that your BIOS, chipset driver and video driver are all up to date.

After updating, do you have any better luck with burns?

Ok...I struggled to get answers for this problem...and guess what...*Got the solution...Eureka*

When you press BURN Tab...you get a POP up with the following, the reason why the Cds do not burn is due to the speed...select the right speed and they will burn ( in my case it was 2x for SONY CD-R 700MB)

1. CD Burner : Matshita DVD-R UJ-846

2. *Preferred Speed* : *Select 2x - This is the reason why the CDs are thrown out as incomplete burn outs...my Layman answer is that all these CDs have different speeds and the average speeds are between 1-4, I selected speed 2x....and wow...it worked, no problems whatsoever.**

3. Disc Format : Select Audio CD
Gap Between Songs - I choose None...you can try different timings
Include CD Text - Ticked

Click the Burn Tab
