2nd Internal HD 'locked', cannot File Share
This is my office's PPC G5 (If I'm correct). Something went wrong and stuck at Grey Apple logo screen, so I Erase & Re-Install Leopard 10.5, it then started up well.
This Tower Mac *has also a 2nd internal hard disk*, we use it *mainly as a File Sharing Hard Disk*; Before this OS re-install, it was sharing just fine.
(I have to admit, prior to this re-install, I am not sure whether it was on Snow Leopard or Leopard)
Anyway, after the startup, *notice there is a 'small lock' on the 2nd HD icon*. When 'Get Info', right at the bottom of the screen, I cannot change the access privileges of the Owner, User and Everyone etc. Even when I checked the 'Share' box.
*Basically it cannot be File Share anymore.*
Same thing inside System Preferences > File Sharing, when I add this 2nd HD, on the right column there is NONE of the list of User (name), Everyone etc.
(The default Home User Public Share Folder is fine.)
When I try to click on the 2nd HD icon, it says something like I have no access privileges to this HD. When I File Share from another Mac and able to mount this HD, same thing, there is a tiny lock on the icon and say I don't have access privileges.
*How do I revert back to before, so that we can access/file share this 2nd hard drive?*
*Do I have to upgrade to Snow Leopard?*
Thanks and cheers
