Serious printing issue after 10.6.5 update

We are a professional printing bureau and after 10.6.5 update all prints in Landscape mode come out cropped as if the page setup is portrait. The only solution is to rotate the artboard in Photoshop or Illustrator to Portrait.
Any more people facing this issue?

Thanks in advance

This seems to me to be a compatibility issue with certain printer drivers when printing from InDesign CS4. I am printing to a Lanier 445c multipurpose color printer/copier. Since upgrading to OS X 10.6.5, not only am I unable to print landscape from InDesign CS4 to the Lanier 445c, but I am also unable to fold and staple documents, as I normally can do. Furthermore, I am unable to print colors correctly. When printing from InDesign, I normally choose the printer profile for the Lanier printer. Now when I do that, the colors print lighter, as they do when printed using the default printer profile.

I have tested this in Illustrator CS4, and the colors are printing correctly. Furthermore, I can print landscape from Illustrator. I have only tried printing letter-size documents from Illustrator, and have not tried to use the printer's finisher, so I'm not sure if these features will work in Illustrator with OS X 10.6.5.

I am able to print letter-size documents landscape from InDesign CS4 to my HP2600 laser printer. Colors are fine, too.

I offer this for what it's worth, but haven't yet found a good solution. Do these problems sound like anything any of you are experiencing?

Hoping for a fix to this soon, as it's getting to be a hassle to have to print using workarounds such as exporting InDesign documents to PDF, then placing the PDF in Illustrator to print.

We have discovered another lovely glitch from the 10.6.5 update in combo with Photoshop CS5. When saving a file as a pdf, the entire image (type, graphics, etc) gets stretched about 10% wider than normal. If you want to see what that looks like, I'd be happy to send you one of the 2500 postcards we just had printed--all sssttttrrrreeeettttcccchhhheeeed. Eeek.

Thank you thank you thank you. Only discovered the fault today when trying to print our cottage brochure out (200+) copies, before we go away on holiday. Needed this like a hole in the head. Just thankful for these guys providing a fix, google for enabling me to find it, and time machine for making it easy to revert to the previous 'pstops'. Yay. I nearly cried when it wouldn't work, but even more so once it was working again. Off for a glass of whiskey 🙂

I have read on MacFixit that there is definitely a CUPS problem with the 10.6.5 update and that it will be fixed in the next 10.6 release. I have not updated to 10.6.5 from 10.6.4 and am wondering if I should or not. I use Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 to print all my photos using a Canon Pixma MP560 printer (printing from iPhoto has problems with this printer and I don't want to lose my one best option). From your comments it sounds like I could use Portrait mode if necessary in PS Elements, but would you know if Picture Package will work, which is the way I print photos most often. Also do you happen to know if printing spreadsheets from Numbers would be affected? I would like to do the 10.6.5 update to be up to date with security, etc., but not if I can't print properly. Thanks for any feedback.

I just realized that there were several more pages of replies to the original posts on this and that the first part of my previous post shows that I wasn't paying attention, but would still like to know if anyone has successfully tried printing from Picture Package in Photoshop Elements 8 after updating to 10.6.5. Thanks.

Halej-freakin-loueja!!!! After pages and pages of topics at both the adobe forum and the apple forum, and long drawn out explanations for processes only developers understand, finally... A plain english "do this" approach to find the pstops file in the finder so I can replace it with a file that worked. Even for a long time mac user and troubleshooter, it was daunting until this simple approach that COMPLETELY resolved my printing issues.

Thank you thank you thank you...
