Would it kill Apple to add a find and replace function in the finder, so that I can select multiple files and replace or append the texts? I waste considerable time renaming files in finder to fit my filing system. Things like dashes between letters instead of spaces for example cost me a lot of time where I have to remove the dashes one by one or copy and paste portions of texts from other files.
Or maybe some of you know a way to accomplish this? A script maybe?
Just be aware that there are less expensive options out there that do the same thing, although ABFR is one of the more powerful ones if you really do need a lot of features. Look around on a site like macupdate.com.
I recently transferred the contents of a Macbook to a newer Macbook using our wireless network. Neither the finder nor the Spotlight search is finding word files on the "new" computer. All the files are there, but the finder does not find them. How can i fix this?
Yes, it seems perfect. I don't know why Apple doesn't add these types of functionality to its OS to begin with. This software will save me a lot of time. Thanks Niel.
