Q: Edit-in-Place with Windows? Bug?

Did anybody tried to upload an asset which is located on an EiP device from a Windows machine?
Scenario: FCSVR-Device located on an Xsan volume. That Volume is mounted on a windowsmachine via SMB (or StorNext) on driveletter "x:". Under Device settings the "Windows EiP" is Setting is "file:////XSAN/Folder" or "file://x:\/Folder"
If you try to upload an asset via drag´n´drop or "upload" FCSVR recognizes that this asset is located on an EiP device and does not ask for the location. So far so good...that means the settings for EiP are right. After hittin the "Upload" Button you get an errormessage that the file could not be found under Location /Volumes/Xsan/Folder... Of course not because there is no Folder called "Volumes/Xsan/Folder" on my WindowsPC! FCSVR seems to map the values of the EiP Settings wrong.
Tried to setup a second device with a wrong Path like "x:\Folder" the Path in the Errormessage is nearly right but now get an "x:\Folder\/File.mov" That drives me nuts! The workaround is to work with non-EiP on windows and upload files via Ethernet from the location through the Windows machine back to its origin location...stupid!

Thanks!
Anybody noticed that? Or anybody any solution???

MacPro, Mac OS X (10.6.5), fcsvr 1.5.2
