Q: Error Creating Clip Proxy HELP!

I am seeing this error come up on a regular basis for some assets.

ERROR: EREQERROR
Encountered error using Compressor: ::drawBand: invalid KLV data (UL key = 0x00000000 etc etc.

It happens almost instantly even regenerating for assets in question. What does this error even mean???

Thanks!

It sounds like a Compressor error, in which it can't read the video codec.

Is the file corrupted or was it created by some non-standard or newly designed system?

Can you transcode the file directly in Compressor? Any other errors in the Console?

    Thanks John!

As it turns out, lurking in the background compressor was letting me know that I did not have the appropriate codec installed. My .MOV was an IMX30/mx3n... not too standard for us but problem solved. I wish compressor/FCS would give some more helpful answers every once in a while within error logs.
