Configure Apple mail with Windows exchange 2003 server

Hi there,

To receive my work mail on my Mac, I need to configure Apple Mail 4.4 with a Windows exchange 2003 mail server.

The Apple website says: +"with Snow Leopard, the Mac is the only computer with built-in support for Microsoft Exchange Server 2007"+. So, this won't really work with the 2003 version, right?

Is there any other method to configure mail with this 2003 server on my mac? Maybe with office for mac (although I prefer Apple Mail...)

Thanks a lot!

Macbook 5.1, Mac OS X (10.6.5), No

Contrary to what previous posters have said, you can get Mail to work with Exchange Server 2003.

The easiest way is to use DavMail... http://davmail.sourceforge.net/index.html

Just download it and then follow the setup instructions. Your Exchange Server will have to have Outlook Web Access enabled in order for DavMail to work.

You can also set up iCal to sync with Exchange Server 2003 using DavMail.
