No driver for HP Scanjet 3670?

HP Scanjet 3670 support page lists no Snow Leopard driver.

HP Scanjet 3670 “Leopard” driver won’t work on our Snow Leopard machines. Works fine on Leopard machine.

Driver installs and runs OK, but “Scan to PDF” command returns:

“Error

Sorry, scanner could not be initialized.
(Scanner not found.)”

Is there a Snow Leopard driver available for our Scanjet 3670?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.5)

Ask HP tech support. Alternatively you might try using VueScan which does not require a special driver, but they have to support your model.

Meanwhile uninstall the Leopard driver because it is not compatible.

I own a MacBook Pro with Snow Leopard 10.6.2.
The solution I found for compatibility with my HP ScanJet 3670 scanner took a bit of research.

You'll need a multi-scanner driver and during the install pick the 3690 driver, NOT the 3670 driver.

Go through the install process and when you open the HP Scan Pro you will find the 3670 scanner choice.

The address below directs you to the IMG site for the driver.

Hope this works for all those with the same problem.

which got us up & running & able to do at least most of our scanning. The ScanPro seems crash-prone and unable to complete all functions. Same problems on BOTH our 10.6.5 machines.

We're still searching for a driver that will be more compatible.
