Nov 12, 2010 2:19 PM in response to Old Toadby Destructiva,Yes, that's what I was doing but is annoying, before (in the previous version) it was easy to rename the events just after import, I don't know why Apple loves to mess with things that are actually working.
Thank you anyway! -
Feb 4, 2011 11:52 PM in response to Destructivaby Grober01,I have a similar but even more frustrating problem. I have imported many times from my camera and have been very annoyed by not being able to just name my last import to my new event name.
Just recently, I imported an e-mailed photo into iPhoto. Once again it showed up in my Last Import window, however, it does not show up as an event at all. If I try and copy the photo and put it in a new or existing event, it won't let me because it says it cannot exist in 2 events at once. I have several events (I have sorted my events by date to ensure it was not created, and it is not shown as the last created event).
I have opened the info window when in Last Import, but alas there is no editable Event Name.
Please help!! -
Feb 4, 2011 11:57 PM in response to Grober01by Grober01,Nevermind. I found it by selecting "Find Event" in the Last Import window. Somehow it ended up in another of my events, but I have no idea how it got there. Very very strange. In Last Import it did not identify the event it was in at all until I did the "Find Event" function.
Just a bit of feedback - Please add back the functionality that was in previoius iPhoto versions that just allowed me to rename the event directly within the Last Import window. Would alleviate some pain. Thanks. -
May 7, 2016 11:28 AM in response to Grober01by Remydb,To name the last import: 1. Go to FILE - New Album and type in name of NEW ALBUM in the dropdown menu. On the left pane, there should be the name of the new album, 2. Then select EDIT and SELECT ALL to highlight all the photos. 3. Then click the first photo and drag it to the new album you just created. All the photos will drop into that album.

May 7, 2016 11:43 AM in response to Remydbby Terence Devlin,You realise this question is from 2010 and 2011? Also, these posters were asking about naming Events, not creating and naming albums.

May 7, 2016 11:44 AM in response to Remydbby Old Toad,You realize that this is a 5 year old topic and that iPhoto has been upgraded several times since then and even replaced by Photo with El Capitan.
