Using AUNetSend / Receive with Mainstage

Hey everyone,

I'm fairly new to Mainstage, and have been using Logic for a few years now. I'm still working my way around Mainstage, and trying to get together some version of a work flow.

I think I'm trying to bend Mainstage to a unique use, doing a collaborative mix of separate locations via the internet. Basically, I'm trying to create a conversation in different locations, within Mainstage.

Right now, I'm using AUNetSend to get the audio in to a channel, then sending a mix (mix minus) back to the users via aux buses. I've gotten three different computers connected at the same time, but all of them were using the same internet connection, and it wasn't a good connection in the first place. There were plenty of dropouts (underflow), as well as significant latency.

I feel like I'm getting somewhere, but not sure how to cut down on the latency. Has anyone used AUNetSend / Receive with Mainstage? Heck, does anyone use AUNetS/R over the internet (or at all)? Anyone have any tips? I'm sure people who use them are familiar with the lack of documentation on them, and I'd love to hear anything anyone has to offer.

Thanks!
