No. The verizon ipad is just an ipad with wifi.

The Verizon iPad package includes a wifi iPad and a MiFi card. The price for data on the the MiFi is

What are the data plans that will be offered for use with the iPad and MiFi promotional bundle?

    $20 for 1GB ($20 / 1GB overage)
    $35 for 3GB ($10 / 1GB overage)
    $50 for 5GB ($10 / 1GB overage)
    $80 for 10GB ($10 / 1GB overage)

Customers will need to sign a service agreement for the 3G Plans with the MiFi device, but the plans will be available on a month-to-month basis without any termination fee.

If you want one with an AT&T SIM, why don't you just buy the 3G version which comes with already installed?

Skip the verizon scam. Get a virgin mobile mifi and get unlimited data for $40 a month vs $35 for 3 gb on verizon.

Just because you don't like the pricing doesn't make it a "scam." Verizon is up front about the cost and what you get. Virgin uses Sprint's network. What may be more important to some people than price is coverage. Depending on where someone lives, Verizon may be a better buy if it works more consistently.

I am on verizon and am quite happy with their smartphone plans an coverage. But their data plan for the ipad is a rip off. I call them the way I see em.

Again, the fact that you don't like or approve of something doesn't make it deceitful or even wrong. Isn't it wonderful that we have options?

But their data plan for the ipad is a rip off. I

It's not a data plan for the iPad. It's a data plan for the mifi, which you can purchase bundled with an iPad.
