Every time I boot up my MacBook Air there is a recovered item in the trash called wkresources. Does anyone know where this comes from, and how I can get it to stop showing up? This does not happen with my iMac. I am running the latest 10.6.5 system version.
The file gets created every time you open a document or application that is part of the Microsoft Office Suite. Everybody is reporting this identical issue, regardless of system type. Does not appear to cause any issues with system operation.
Mac OS X uses wkresources / recovered files to store login and usage information. Throwing it into trash won’t make it go away. Try dragging and dropping it into your Documents folder on bottom right side to your Dock, then let your computer decide what to do with it would be my suggestion.

I had trouble sleeping my Macbook Air, when I clicked "sleep" from apple menu it took 30 seconds to actually sleep. Ditched this file out of my trash and the sleep delay problem disappeared. - AB
OSX already does that on every reboot after using office 2011 and messenger 8 for mac, its a bug and its annoying but there seems to be no answer for the issue at this time.
