Fixed cell Reference in copying formula
How can we keep a cell reference unchanged throughout copying a formula to different cells? In MS Excel, I can append "$" sign before the cell reference.

Numbers and Excel work the same in this respect. Adding a $-sign before the column identifier will make the column part absolute and adding a $-sign before the row identifier will make the row part absolute. In Numbers 09 there is a shortcut to making all or part of a cell reference absolute (can't recall if this exists in Numbers 08): When you hover over a cell reference in an existing expression, a disclosure triangle will appear. Clicking the triangle will give you a menu of reference type choices.
