MacBook won't boot, cursor is frozen at login

I have a MacBook (late 2006) keeps freezing at the login. When I get to the login screen, the cursor will not move; it's remains in the same place every time I log in.

Here's what I think what happened.
I created another account in my MacBook because i was going to delete my current account. And when I signed off, the problem begin.

It takes my computer about 4-5 mins to start and get to the log in screen.

My MacBook has been acting very cranky lately, which is the reason why I was going to start the new account.

I know that "source media" is damage. (whatever that is)
