TI SmartView doesn't run since the last Mac OS X update

Hi everybody,
I currently use TI SmartView (Interactiv Emulator for TI Calcs) with my pupils. Since the last update of Mac OS X (my macbook runs with 10.6.5 version), TI SmartView doesn't run and I have the following message which appears:

+Process: JavaApplicationStub [1208]+
+Path: /Applications/TI-SmartView 83Plus.fr84Plus.App/Contents/MacOS/JavaApplicationStub+
+Identifier: com.apple.javajdk16.TI-SmartView pour TI-83 Plus.fr / TI-84 Plus+
+Version: 1.0 (1.0)+
+Code Type: X86 (Native)+

+Parent Process: launchd [172]+

Do you know what is this problem ? Is it a problem with Java ?
Many thanks for your answers !
Friendly yours,
David

- I also tried to reinstall this software, without any success.
- TI contacted me and gave me a web link to download TI SmartView 1.1 ... I've done this, installed it ... and the same problem is always here ! :-((

I think that this problem probably comes from Java.

Here is the beggining of the error report:

I was able to get the new version (SmartView 3.2 - http://education.ti.com/html/smartview/smartview.html) working finally. You have to stop the licensing daemon (Nalpeirond) and then remove the ProTec folder from /Library/StartupItems

Once you do that, SmartView 3.2 will startup and allow you to run in trial mode. The person I spoke at TI yesterday said that they would convert my 3.1 licenses to 3.2 licenses at no charge.

Bonjour,
Cordialement.

Excuse my ignorance, I am not able to do the following:

"You have to stop the licensing daemon (Nalpeirond) and then remove the ProTec folder from /Library/StartupItems"

How do I "stop the licensing daemon (Nalpeirond)?" I cannot find the ProTec folder in /Library/Support (I did try Spotlighting it to no avail). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi !
My TI SmartView seems to work well since the last download of 3.2 version (web link given by TI) after I repaired the permissions with Disk utility and used Onyx to clean it. I've done this many times and after one, it worked well (TI gave me a new license number because the old was lost when installing 3.2 version)
I do not touch anything else to continue using it !!
It will be fine if TI could find an answer to this problem.
I hope that my message will help you all !
