How to Scale Text?

Is there any way in Keynote '09 to scale text in concert with other items?

For example, if you select a text box and a square and resize (scale) up, the font size of the text remains constant. The desired behavior is for the font size to scale up appropriately in relation to the square.

Yes, you could manually resize each text item to the desired size but this is both time consuming and imprecise.

The only way that I know to do this is to change the Text into a picture +(select the text box and copy, open Preview and File>New from Clipboard or command n, then copy and paste back into Keynote)+. The problem with this is you cannot edit the text, but if you have all the text as you want it, just need to resize, it works.

Right - but then you loose all the vector goodiness. 😟

That is true. One option other then to select all text and change size in the text window is to select the text boxes that you resized and press command + or -. This way you can select multiple text boxes and adjust the text size for multiple boxes even if the original sizes were different.

You mean the smoothness? You shouldn't lose that at all. The default image type on the OSX clipboard is PDF, so anything you copy/paste is being pasted as a vector based PDF. You can scale that as large as you like, and the lines should stay crisp and sharp. You can't edit the text, so you do have to make sure it's the last step in your workflow.
