Curving text like in FCP?

Question

Curving text like in FCP?

Is it possible to curl text (wrapping around a globe image)like in FCP? FCP has a curl filter that you can put on text but is there a way to do it in motion? I would think bending the motion path but how?!?!?! I have searched and searched on this board...

Sure is.

Using the text tool, type your text on the canvas.
In the inspector, select the layout tab.
Change the path options from line to loop.
I set the tracking on the format tab so that the text loops completely.
Drag the size handle to match your graphic you want to place the text around.

If you want to make it rotate, place the ramp behavior to the rotation property of the layer. Applying a spin behavior will spin the individual letters.

You should be able to change it as long as you have the text object selected. Make sure you change the layout method from "Type" to "Path". you will find it in the layot tab. Its the top parameter.

Hey Graham,
Thanks for the advice! However when I do that and try to select the PATH OPTIONS it won't let me. (It's gray). Do i have to select it somehow?
