How does dunkin donuts do it? that's exactly what I need, pins dropping to a list of gas stations i can use with my company pin, then i can immediately see which is the closest station????
Hi All,
It looks loke this is now possible using "favorites":
1) search for an address, scroll down and add it to favorites.
2) clear out all search results
3) with the search field empty, swipe up, and scroll down to the bottom of the list of recent searches, and tap 'Favorites'
4) swipe the search bar back down
Regards,
A
Have you heard if Apple will fix this omission in maps so multiple destinations can be searched and mapped?
Sorry, but Apple has not made any announcements as to future features and no one here can talk or speculation about unreleased products. Perhaps there will be information released at Apple's developer conference next month.
Regards.
This free app will allow ten destinations and route between them. It might work for what you need.
Love Google Search. I use it instead of a forum search and it brought me right to this post. I too have been frustrated (well for the three days I have had my new iPad) about not being able to save to My Places from it. Tried it out a couple of times and using the Safari Google Maps allows me to do what the Google Maps app won't.
Thanks for the advice. Turning my computer on less and less now.
I know there's a new app coming out on May 15, 2012 (I think) called "Canvassmate" that allows this to be done. My company is beta testing it, right now and it's incredibly helpful with what we do. We can drop hundreds of pins on a map at any given time. It's mainly used for our sales staff while they are out canvassing neighborhoods. Again, I don't think it's going to be released until next week, but I know you can sign up for it at canvassmate.com for free. Worth a try, I guess. Hope that helps!
