Concerns over 13" MBP, please help

I own a 27" iMac, wanted a laptop for mobile convenience. I did order a 13" MBP Monday and it will be here Wednesday, if I don't open it ; I have until January to return. I have a few concerns after reading several posts:

1.) How long will the present 13" MPB configuration be adequate ?? Meaning before it would get sluggish??

2.) I thought 13" screen got upgraded when other MBP's did, but it doesn't show having a high def screen. Is the current screen crisp??

3.) is it stupid to spend $1100 on almost a year old configuration?? I never would of in the pc market.

Please give me insight.

If you're really concerned, you might want to visit an Apple retailer and see the 13" MBP for yourself. You might also want to look at the new MacBook Air that was just released, which does have the hi-res display, and which has been reduced considerably in price. There should be some descriptive videos on the Apple site.

In any event, don't open the package until you feel confident that you have the Mac you really want. You are the only one who can decide what will best suit your needs, and comparing the 13" MBP with the 13" MacBook Air (and maybe the 11" MacBook Air) in person and side by side is the way to go. Especially if you have access to an Apple Store where there are knowledgable people to explain the differences.

Good luck!

Most authorized retailers only give you two weeks to return.
The 90 day warranty is not a return policy.
Verify January really applies as return, and you aren't confusing AppleCare's free phone and software support for a return plan.

The speed of a Macbook is fine for all but heavy time gamers, high end video editing, and time sensitive photo manipulation.

Yes the screen is crisp, visit a store near you to see how much.
