iTunes won't let me redownload a movie.

I recently got a new computer and I restored my iPod but did not back it up because I didn't think there was anything important on it. There was a movie that was on it and I want to get it back but when I go to buy it in the iTunes store it brings me to the downloads section because I have already purchased the movie once before but I don't see the movie in the list.

You only get one download ( sam policy as Wal-Mart and Amazon). It is your responsibility to copy and/or move it wherever you want it.

From the itunes store terms of service:

"PRODUCTS CAN BE DOWNLOADED ONLY ONCE; AFTER BEING DOWNLOADED, THEY CANNOT BE REPLACED IF LOST FOR ANY REASON. YOU SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR BACKING UP YOUR OWN SYSTEM, INCLUDING ANY PRODUCTS PURCHASED OR RENTED FROM THE ITUNES STORE THAT ARE STORED IN YOUR SYSTEM."

Where is your backup copy of all of your important info/music/pics/docs/files/etc.? Use this to put the movie back.

If for some reason you have failed to do this ( not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod: File>Transfer Purchases

iTunes won't let me redownload a movie.
