10.6.5 SUS Clients being refused?

Config:
Mac Mini Server on 10.6.5 Server
Wired Network using an AirPort Extreme (also up to date)
Software Update privileges are controlled at the individual machine level within Workgroup Manager

The problem:
Whenever I run software updates on one of the client machines, I get a vague message saying that the server is unable to be reached. However, if I go into the SUS access logs I can see recorded attempts to access the SUS catalog. I even tried opening port 8088 on the AirPort with no success. I do have another gateway that the AirPort connects to in the form of a Modem/Router that only serves up the WAN, I cant think of any reason that would cause any problems.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Mac Mini Server, Mac OS X (10.6.5)

It looks like Apple changed the structure of SUS. A great thing to do in the middle of an OS. I would have thought that would be something for a major version change.
